Hello and welcome to another episode of the Investor Mel – Women of Action show! In this episode, I’m speaking with Michala Vander Ploeg. She is a Canadian real estate investor who focuses on multi-family investments. She started investing when her husband suddenly became unable to work.
This forced them to look for alternative income sources and that’s where real estate came in. They started with a triplex and were able to scale and build their portfolio using creative financing.
She now owns 13 doors with a 14th under contract in the US. With a busy home life with three young children, she is determined to create a passive income where she has the freedom to spend more quality time with her family doing the things she loves.
